Lentil Biriani

Ingredients
Rice                             1 Cup
Split Bengal Gram      1/2 Cup
Turmeric Powder        1/8 teaspoon
Salt                              1 teaspoon
Onions                         1 Large
Chicken(optional)        1/2 kg
Tamarind                      1/4 Cup
Red chili powder          1/2 teaspoon
Ginger/Garlic Paste      1 teaspoon
Preparation
Boil chicken,split bengal gram in 2 cup water with turmeric powder and 1/8 teaspoon salt


Cook till the water is dry and both of these are tender

Soak tamarind in 1/2 cup of water overnight
Just take the tamarind pulp
Add red chili powder in it

Now boil 6 cup of water in a pan

Add the rice and remaining salt in it (Rice should be washed and soaked in water for at least 30 minutes, then those drained rice should be used for cooking)

When the rice are boiled and  cooked, then drain the water
Fry the onions in oil till those are golden
Now in a pan put half of the rice as bottom layer

The other layer should be of chicken and split bengal gram

Now add the onions


Now put the tamarind pulp

Add fresh mint and coriander leaves

Put the remaining rice as upper layer

Fry ginger and garlic paste till it,s golden
Add these as last layer
Now cover it and cook for 15 minutes on low heat
Serve it warm

Strawberry Shake

Ingredients
Strawberries                    12
Milk                                 2 Cups
Sugar                               1 Tablespoon
Preparation
Wash and cut the  strawberries in half.
Sprinkle the sugar on it and freeze
 Now put the frozen strawberries and milk in blender

Blend well and serve cold

Ras Malai

Ingredients
Milk                                                      1 Litre
Full Cream Milk Powder                      1 Cup
Baking Powder                                     1/2 teaspoon
Egg                                                        1
Cooking Oil                                          1 tablespoon
Sweetened Condensed Milk                 1/4 cup
Sugar                                                    1/2 Cup(if you don,t have condensed milk)
Pistachio,almond,green cardamom (optional)

Preparation
Mix milk powder,egg,oil and baking powder in a bowl
Knead well till it is smooth and there are no cracks in dough
If dough is too hard add some milk and if it,s too soft then add some milk powder

Make small balls
Boil the milk in pan and let it cook for 10 minutes (keep the heat low after boiling)
If you are not using condensed milk then add sugar in milk and green cardamom
After 10 minutes add the balls and let it cook on medium heat for minimum 15 minutes
Add condensed milk and let it cook for 5 to 10 minutes
Add pistachio and almond too

Keep it in fridge for minimum 6 hours and serve it cold

Baisan ka Hulwa



Ingrediants
Gram Flour 1 Cup
Pure Ghee 1/2 Cup
Sugar 1/2 Cup
Milk 2 Cup
Preperation
Put the Gram lour in warm ghee and stirr till it changes colour
Now add the sugar and keep stirring

Add milk in it

Keep stirring till the milk is dry and ghee comes out
Serve it warm

shimla mirch qima

Ingrediants
Beef Minced                  1/2 kg
Capsicum                       1/2 kg
Green chillis                   1
Tomato                           1 medium
Ginger/Garlic Paste        1 teaspoon
Red chili powder            1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder            1/4 teaspoon
Salt                                  1/2 teaspoon
Oil                                   2 tablespoon
Preperation
Heat oil in pan and put the onions in
Cook till the onions are golden
Put the ginger/garlic paste and stir for 2 minutes
Now add salt,red chili powder and turmeric powder
Stir for 5 minutes

Now add the minced meat and cook till the meat changesthe colour
Add 1 cup of water and cover it till the meat is tender
When the maet is tender,add the tomatos
Cook till oil leaves the pan
Now add capsicum and green chilis
Cook for atleast 10 minutes,keep adding some water so it is cooked properly

Serve warm with raita and chpati

Coconut Balls

Ingredients
Dessicated coconut                       1 cup
Sweetened Condensed Milk                 1/2 cup
Almonds                                        2 dozens

Preparation
Mix  condensed milk and coconut excluding almonds and 1/6 cup of coconut


Knead till form a thick mixture you can add more coconut if it,s too sticky

With wet hands take some mixture, place one almond inside and make small balls
Now put these balls on the remaining coconut

Put these in fridge for minimum 4 hours and then serve

drumsticks

Ingredients
Drumsticks                 1 kg
White Vinegar            2 tablespoon
Salt                             1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper powder  1 teaspoon
Ginger/garlic paste      2 teaspoon
Oil                               to fry
Preperation
Make some cuts in leg pieces and marinate with all the ingredients except oil for minimum 1 hour
Steam the drumstcks for 40 minutes
Then deep fry these till these are golden and crisp
Serve warm
